About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W00YAA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD US Army Intelligence and Security CMD, ACOFS G-1 Military Human Resource Division Personnel Actions Branch.

Duties

Serve as the Chief, Adjutant General Branch and INSCOM HHC S-1 with specific responsibility for providing technical expertise regarding the military HR management program. Oversee the administrative and technical management of the staff engaged in providing military personnel services and implementing Military Personnel Actions Programs. Develop briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to commanders, managers, supervisors and employees. Make periodic and special staff visits to provide advice and assistance and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
