This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent manages all aspects of the HR daily operations within the division on behalf of the Director HR. Serves as advisor and oversees the management of the Directorate's internal policies, programs, and procedures.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST at the GS-0201-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Chief of Staff, Human Resources (HR) Directorate. This position reports directly to the HR Deputy Director. Incumbent exercises authority to act on all issues pertaining to HR front office.
Manages all aspects of the HR daily operations within the division on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director HR. Serves as advisor and oversees the management of the Directorate's internal policies, programs, and procedures.
Provide advice and administrative direction for HR programs and functions within the directorate to include broad objectives.
Direct a staff responsible for strategic workforce planning, administrative and resource management programs.
Present and defend program data to interested parties both within and external to the organization as well as provides the justification for program budgets to senior leaders to request program funding or support.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Perform managerial functions to include managing resources, managing performance, or providing strategic planning and direction to staff and organization.
Evaluate or develop Human Resources (HR) policies and programs to improve HR services provided to stakeholders.
Utilize data to drive decisions regarding HR programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
