DCSA's Customer and Stakeholder Engagement is looking for and individual to serve as a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist in the Customer Liaison and Engagements program, under the general supervision of the Branch Chief Customer Engagements Team. Duties
As a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
Senior Liaison for the Customer Engagements Team (CET).
- Manages the day to day running of a support desk.
- Advises the Branch Chief of unexpected system outages and communicates those outages, as needed, to the customer agencies.
- Develops training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for teams that they manage.
- Advocates for customer agencies' needs/requirements within the DCSA and to the Suitability, Security and Credentialing (SSC) Community.
- Provides training, career development guidance and mentors their subordinate leaders, and ensures they do the same for their employees.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
1. Overseeing agency's personnel security investigations program and the SSC (security, suitability, credentialing) program ensuring compliance to governing public laws, Executive Orders (EO), regulations, policies, and guidance.
2. Providing internal and external customer service and troubleshooting for personnel security systems (e-QIP, CVS, PIPS, FTS, SWFT, PDT or NBIS)
3. Assessing personnel security and suitability program operational issues, identifying problems and recommending alternative solutions.
4. Leading/mentoring and/or training internal and external stakeholders on DCSA personnel security systems and suitability program operations.
