About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist for the HQDA, Office of the DCS, G-1 located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Resolve questions or issues received from all segments of the Army regarding the interpretation of laws, regulations and policies and their application to special situations. Review and analyze DoD, and OPM regulations/guidance to ensure HQDA instruction is in conformity with policy. Advise the supervisor of any recommended action such as changes in HQDA guidance or development of new guidance. Review, analyze, or participate in various DA wide studies or initiatives. Prepare responses to congressional inquiries, develops publications, and provide advice to commands and installations

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceDecision SupportProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
