The Castner Range National Monument (CRNM) Program Manager serves as the principal monument manager and is responsible for the overall program direction and execution of all activities within the national monument reservation. Additionally, the monument manager serves as the focal point for implementing and carrying out multiple use and ecosystem management to preserve the archeological sites and paleontological resources; biological and ecological resources; and unique geological features.
Duties
Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating a broad array of complex resource management programs requiring intensive multiple-use management and the protection of a variety of resources (cultural, biological and ecological).
Coordinate land and resource planning and management with representatives of other agencies, Federal, State, and local governments, the general public, and with private landholders. Operates within budgetary limitations and leverages partnerships.
Develop policy implementation guidance and/or instructions for programs within Castner Range National Monument (CRNM).
Provide consultation, management, and guidance on the implementation of regulatory policy matters for Castner Range National Monument (CRNM) to the Installation Service Directorate, Army Staff, and Army Secretariat.
Requirements

- May be required to travel up to 10% for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with developing and/or managing public land and resource programs; responsible for program planning with established regulation and/or guidance; manage stakeholder engagement and/or consultation for public land use; and developing and/or implementing short range, mid- and/or long-range plans for land use and/or environmental programs, especially related to monument management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
