Duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist at the NH-0201-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Provide management consultative services in the full spectrum of HR function to perform a key role in rendering expert advisory service and/or authoritative policy interpretations on highly complex agency-wide or equivalent issues.
Develop appropriate interventions for management on significant HR issues and concerns.
Research and provide interpretative complex legislative HR laws, policies, regulations, and reference materials, analyze information, select appropriate approach, and recommend corrective actions for management.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-04 if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13grade level in the Federal service:
Experience managing Civilian Human Resources functions and programs specific to Employee Services and/or Employee Development such as telework, leave administration, and training administration;
Experience providing expert advice and guidance to supervisors, managers, employees, and internal and external stakeholders on complex human resource matters;
Experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of HR operations and procedures and implementing improvements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
