Duties
Serve as a Human Resources Coordinator in the administration and coordination of a full range of civilian personnel functions within the 93d Signal Brigade, S-1 Section.
Serve as an advisor and action officer for personnel related functions of the Brigade with responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, tracking and consolidating personnel related information.
Provide position management and classification advice to supervisors/managers and employees of the organization.
Advise management and employees on MER/LR in matters such as, but not limited to: discipline, adverse actions, grievances, performance management and recognition, employee counseling, performance issues, leave, pay, and other related functions.
Responsible for updating, revising and publishing the Brigade’s civilian award policy.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe 1 year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:
GG-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing advisory services on federal civilian human resources policies and procedures; analyzing and recommending solutions to resolve federal civilian human resources problems/issues; and advising management on recruitment methods and strategies.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GG-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing comprehensive federal civilian HR management advisory/consultant services on substantive organizational functions and work practices in the fields of recruitment and placement, position management and classification, employee relations, and labor relations sufficient to advise management on a wide variety of technical issues.
