About the Position: This position is located at the Army Installation Management Command, IMCOM Directorate - Training, G1, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.

Duties

Serve as the IMCOM Directorate-Training Chief, G1, supervising a team responsible for providing technical advice and assistance in various civilian and military human resources programs. Implement command policies to cover the full spectrum of human resources management. Advise leadership on and implement human capital efforts across the Directorate and subordinate garrisons. Evaluate human resources program goals within overall policy and guidance. Provide advice and guidance in a wide range of civilian and military personnel functions.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
