About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Spec (MIL) with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a variety of military human resources program areas to all levels of management officials.
Moving expenses and/or recruitment/relocation incentives MAY be authorized for this position.
Duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will perform duties to include but not limited to the following:
Apply comprehensive expert functional knowledge of military personnel programs to all levels of management officials with the IMCOM Directorate and Garrisons.
Oversee the management, execution and implementation of an effective military HR program.
Develop guidance and standards for new and/or changing program areas.
Develop recommendations and solutions to military HR management issues and problems.
Present reports and briefings on military HR program status and/or recommend actions to appropriate individuals.
Requirements
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Temporary duty travel (20% or less) away from the normal duty station may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience required: : At least one FULL year of specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing comprehensive advice and guidance on military HR management regulations/ policies; providing technical training to support military HR personnel actions and systems; and, analyzing military HR program information to identify necessary corrective actions.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
