About the Position: Serves as a senior staff-level civilian Human Resources (HR) Specialist with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of civilian HR program areas to all levels of management officials within one of the three Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorates (ID).
Duties
Serve as a senior level civilian Human Resources (HR) Specialist. Responsible for providing technical advice and guidance regarding HR program areas to all levels of management within the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate - Training
Perform projects/studies to resolve problems pertaining to position management and classification.
Perform projects/studies to resolve problems pertaining to staffing and recruitment.
Provide technical advice to management and employees on civilian human resources policies, practices, procedures, and issues.
Review regulatory guidance from higher authorities and provide interpretative guidance to supported installations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience required: One year of specialized experience which includes experience: 1) directing/advising civilian human resource practices in areas of classification, position management and recruitment and placement; 2) Evaluating overall plans and proposals for complex projects in areas of classification, position management and recruitment and placement; and 3) Interpreting and analyzing data extractions or reports from automated HR databases in areas of classification, position management and recruitment and placement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
