About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

Duties

Maintains program and administrative reference materials, project files and relevant back­ground documents. Develops plans for and performs program development and evaluation for the personnel management program of the Brigade. Provides a full range of staff level guidance to the field on the resolution of unusually difficult personnel management problems Plans and/or conducts various studies and evaluation activities in assigned segments of the program areas Anticipates problems that management may encounter and accomplishes preventive personnel management projects. Develops and signs performance ratings.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by Advising on civilian human resource guidance, policy, and procedures in support of a Command HR program; Interpreting and analyzing HR policy to resolve HR issues and execute planning; Utilizing DoD automated HR systems in performing HR actions; Directing/overseeing HR work performed by a team of civilian personnel.
