Duties
Serves as the Chief of the Military Personnel Division with overall responsibility for the Military Personnel Management Program.
Executes the functions related to providing human resources (HR) services involving the procurement, assignment and utilization of military personnel.
Plans, manages, formulates policies and provides military personnel administrative services, staff planning, programming, training, and a variety of other support services for the tenant activities.
Implements Army G-1 personnel policy, directives, and guidance relating to the procurement, assignment and utilization of military personnel.
Accomplishment of mission is obtained through subordinate personnel and/or contractors that support an installation and provides services to active duty, reserve, retired, and family member personnel.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing military personnel services such as personnel processing, casualty operations, ID cards, awards recognition, training, education, evaluation, and/or promotion programs; providing military personnel administrative services, staff planning, programming, and/or training; and/or executing in/out processing of military assets to include agency clearances, soldier readiness, unit and individual movement, separations and retirement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
