You will serve as a Deputy Executive Director in the Conversion and Repair Command of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.
Duties
You will provide continuity of policy and action in the absence of the supervisor.
You will provide professional leadership and administrative support and advice to the Supervisor on all programs and responsibilities based upon sound business judgment and engineering management principles
You will task major organizational elements to develop programs/procedures relative to optimizing their use of financial and personnel resources in meeting their operational responsibilities.
You will meet regularly with SUPSHIP managers to be briefed on status of work in progress, including the manager’s achievement of program goals.
You will oversee discussions between the affected departments or project teams to ensure agreement on the issues involved, consistency of decisions and uniformity of approach in resolving problems.
You will coordinate Command resources to assist the cognizant Department and Project Office Heads in identifying the source and nature of problem areas, developing fully staffed corrective recommendation for ultimate presentation to the Supervisor.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-03 (GS-13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating policy and day to day operations to establish program objectives, goals or long range plans for shipbuilding programs.
