You will serve as a DDG Project Office of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Duties

You will manage and supervise SUPSHIP personnel assigned to the Ship Production Team and provides task management of supporting contractor personnel. You will determine and assign priorities and sets goals for work within the team based on overall program requirements. You will coordinate work items with other process offices and functional codes within SUPSHIP Bath. You will analyze information and data received, identify actual or potential problems and takes action to initiate work on the solution either within SUPSHIP or by other activities. You will manage shipboard change processes for the Project Office. You will evaluate processes and track status of local contracting actions. You will provide management oversight and functional control of locally operated change processes and funding availability.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing production and technical oversight of contracting activities or performance for shipbuilding or ship repair projects.
