About the Position: This is a permanent position for an Administrative Officer at Joint Special Operations Command.
Duties
Oversee and manage human resource programs.
Conduct comprehensive manpower and organizational studies
Track report workforce readiness.
Develop and implement internal human resource administrative policies.
Facilitate communication and coordination for human resource personnel actions.
Provide guidance on travel, training and special projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information and potential Special Access Program authorization access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
- Duties may require occasional travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Advising management on civilian human resource policies and programs (ie: appraisals, medical readiness, awards, recruitment, classification/position management or management/employee relations) to ensure effective workforce management and operational success; Managing personnel programs (ie: Civilian HR Programs, Medical Readiness Programs, Employee Relation Programs or Manpower Programs) to ensure compliance with regulations; Analyzing manpower requirements and providing recommendations to optimize staffing and support organizational goals; Developing and implementing internal civilian HR policies and processes to ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives and regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
