About the Position: Serve as the Chief of Nuclear Employment Augmentation Team (NEAT), US Army Nuclear cand Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Agency (USANCA) Nuclear and CWMD Operations Division; and Instructor for the Theater Nuclear Operations Course (TNOC).
Duties
Manage the overall process of assigned Nuclear Employment Augmentation Team.
Review and analyze Joint and DoD strategic military planning documents to identify implications for Army operations and subsequent Army requirements.
Support Army efforts to ensure global nuclear targets are integrated and synchronized with war plans.
Determines theater target support requirement.
Represent the Army as a member of boards, committees and working groups formed to monitor, evaluate and prescribe guidance for nuclear strategy, plans, policy, doctrine and capabilities.
Serve as an instructor for the Theater Nuclear Operations Course as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is designated Special-Sensitive Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Access (SCI) or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance/access. (See additional information)
- Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9. (See Additional Information)
- This position is Emergency Essential and considered essential to support the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization. (See Additional Information)
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position may require temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes training and/or advising personnel on nuclear operations; coordinating with strategic level organizations on nuclear operations; analyzing nuclear operation plans to support joint force; and planning and/or supporting maneuver warfighting function. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
