Duties
Works under the general supervision of the Army Field Support Brigades (AFSB), Army Field Support Battalions (AFSBn), or Logistics Readiness Centers (LRC), Installation Maintenance Division (IMD) Chief who gives general instructions and explanations.
Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, managing, and reviewing all actions concerned with the operation and conduct of the IMD Maintenance Production Control Branch and Contract Surveillance for maintenance operations.
Interprets policy and develops overall plans and strategies for mission accomplishment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a military driver's license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating logistical actions for maintenance or production control operations; 2) Coordinating maintenance support for equipment or materials; 3) Providing technical instructions for maintenance work to be accomplished; 4) Resolving logistics maintenance problems; and 5) Leading projects and/or personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
