About the Position: Manages a Regional Operations Branch that includes administrative work that supports the international security cooperation education and training programs. This position directs the development and execution of international security cooperation education training programs with the U.S. Army and Defense Department for foreign countries and international organizations.

Duties

Manages a Regional Operations Branch that coordinates, plans, and programs eligible foreign governments’ security cooperation education and training requirements. Assists countries in the development of their security cooperation education and training plans to include programming applicable courses and International Military Student (IMS) data. Performs financial management of security cooperation programs including International Military Education and Training (IMET), in conjunction with resource management personnel. Plans, coordinates, and executes implementation of security cooperation education and training programs to support the Total Package Approach (TPA) of complex, high technology weapons systems to foreign countries Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 25% of the time.
  • Position requires Security Cooperation Workforce Certificate within 36 months.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience implementing policies, and procedures related to security assistance training programs, and international military student programs; experience planning organization training programs such as Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Military Education and Training (IMET), and Building Partner Capacity (BPC); AND experience monitoring training programs that support international students (military and civilians) under Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
