About the Position: This position is located in Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Transportation includes convenient interstate and major highways connecting the city to neighboring Hampton, York County, Gloucester, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Smithfield. The Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with the charm of small town and rural areas. A relocation Incentive may be authorized.

Duties

Serves as Director, Prevention Force Modernization Proponent responsible for all matters related to the mission and function of prevention prepotency. Applies combined knowledge of training development, Army organizations, functions, doctrine and applications and prevention approaches to direct assigned professional personnel. Develop and execute PFMP programs, staff training, program management and technical training support. Determines required programs, and products to be provided by PFMP. Serves as the principal PFMP advisor in matters pertaining to Prevention Doctrine, Education, Training, Technology and Individual and Collective Training Development.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • TDY up to 25% may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingLeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
