About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Duties

Leads, directs, coordinates, and accomplishes as necessary administrative and staffing functions within the organization; ensures subordinate offices comply with all applicable policies and procedures. Accomplishes Requests for Personnel Action, civilian awards, and other administrative workload for assigned activities. Advises the organization leadership on recommended or proposed changes and coordinates implementation of approved changes. Serves to assist and advise managers as needed on human resource issues, such as staffing, classification, performance management, student/intern programs, deployment and awards. Provides advice on staffing matters, including management options and alternatives with regard to recruitment, reorganizations, realignments and reshape/downsizing actions. Researches, analyzes, organizes, develops, and synthesizes information assembled from various sources.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.
