About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, Force Projection. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS & PEO GCS, with duty location at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.

Duties

Serves as the Chief of the Business Management program for a Project or Product Manager (PM). Develops plans and objectives for assigned functions. Identifies areas needing emphasis and exercises leadership to ensure programmed system and subsystem time, cost and performance schedules are accurately established and met. Reviews policies, directives, regulations, orders, etc. received from higher echelons. Identifies existing or potential problem areas and recommends or directs necessary corrective action and preventive measures. Develops, maintains, and coordinates a responsive financial management program. Develops, maintains, and coordinates procurement and production plans and programs to assure the timely and economical acquisition and fielding of system(s). Plans work to be accomplished by core and matrix subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for advanced certification in (K) Business - Financial Management within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP).
  • This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
  • This position requires FM CERTIFICATION LEVEL 3 (FMC03). Selectees must obtain Level 3 certification in the Department of Defense Financial Management program within 24 months of entrance on duty.

The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent).
