About the Position: Selected applicant will serve as a Lead Operations Officer, NH-0301-04, at the JPEO-CBRND Headquarters and report directly to the JPEO-CBRND Chief of Operations. The NH-04 pay band encompasses grades 14 and 15 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
This position is subject to a salary control point established in the JPEO-CBRND Acquisition Demo Business Rules. This control point limits salary to a max of $181,216 (GS-14, step 10).
Duties
Serves as a Lead Operations Officer at JPEO-CBRND Headquarters reporting directly to the JPEO-CBRND Chief of Operations.
Provides critical, high-level review on a wide range of regulations, policies, procedures, action papers, and staff studies relating to the operational efficiency of the organization.
Mediates controversial issues involving the implementation of operational policy and mitigates their impact on day-to-day operations.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical team lead duties for all assigned civilian, military, and contract support personnel.
Works daily with higher headquarters staff from the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology ASA(ALT), and Department of Army to manage the organization’s response to all taskers and requests for information.
Serves as the primary liaison to the Operations Directors for each Joint Project Manager (JPMs) and Joint Project Lead (JPL) as well as all HQ Staff elements with regards to organizational taskers, reporting, and operational policies/guidance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify based on experience your resume must describe, at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-03/GS-13 (or equivalent) level in the Federal Service that includes: 1) Developing operational policies to improve organizational efficiency; 2) Managing high-level taskers and document approvals on behalf of the organizations' senior leaders; 3) Implementing operational strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives; 4) Analyzing operational processes to increase organizational efficiency and productivity.The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03/GS-13 or equivalent.
