You will serve as a TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, WARFIGHTING AND READINESS in the Warfighting Assessment and Readiness Directorate of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.

Duties
You will serve as chief consultant to the Commander, United States Pacific Fleet and his staff on emerging systems evaluation, technologically advanced capabilities, and asymmetric warfare pertaining to operations and plans.
You will provide reviews and recommendations for engagements between Military and U.S. Industry partners.
You will monitor fleet operations and exercises to improve the acquisition of meaningful capability
You will integrate and institute the findings of COMPACFLT operations research and analysis program.
You will develop and oversee a War Rehearsal/Experimentation campaign plan to identify and evaluate advanced technical capabilities that can support current and future Pacific Fleet activities.
You will represent COMPACFLT in scientific meetings and technical conferences and present papers and briefs on specialized technical subjects impacting fleet and Navy-wide operational doctrine.
You will develop and maintain liaison with ranking executives to ensure the integration of COMPACFLT experimentation and systems acquisition into coordinated efforts to avoid overlap of scope and objectives.
You will ensure that warfighting exercise planning includes realistic warfare scenarios, that the adversary capability is accurately simulated, and the battlespace environment is representative to real world conditions.
You will support the development of an acquisition and investment strategy to satisfy COMPACFLT requirements within Joint, Navy, and Fleet Program Objective Memorandum (POM).

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical expertise (e.g., strategy, policy, budgeting, acquisition, requirements) for warfare operations (e.g., rehearsal, experimentation, replicator efforts, industry engagement); developing joint coordinated combat employment concepts (CONEMPS) for unmanned systems (UxS); and providing technical direction for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) operational and system requirements (e.g., Operational Plans, Experimentation, Mine Warfare, and War Rehearsal).
