You will serve as a DEPUTY FOR WARFIGHTING EFFECTIVENESS ASSESSMENT & READINESS in the DIRECTOR, WARFIGHTING ASSESSMENTS & READINESS, directorate, under the DIRECTOR MARITIME HEADQUARTERS of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Duties
You will determine Fleet-wide program goals and develop execution plans for the organization that directly impact COMPACFLT warfighting improvement initiatives and all domain warfighting experimentation resource requirements.
You will develop plans for warfighting analysis, wargaming, experimentation, and exercise integration leading to the development of tactics, techniques, and procedures.
You will assist with the design, development, and measurement of effectiveness, and execution of ASW/integrated warfare exercises.
You will decide personnel policy matters such as training, performance evaluations, employee grievances, and awards concerning subordinate employees.
You will provide advice and recommendations to flag and SES level on warfighting implementation and improvement of COMPACFLT's warfighting strategy.
You will ensure Undersea Warfare Exercise (USWEX) Assessment Exercise series optimally assesses deploying Carrier Strike Groups ability to counter high-end undersea threats.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing plans for warfighting analysis, wargaming, experimentation, and exercise integration to enhance programs and policies for warfighting strategy.
