You will serve as a OPERATIONS DIRECTOR in the Operations Directorate of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.

Duties

You will direct the development of internal and regional procedures required to implement policy. You will manage programs within higher-level guidance. You will ensure design and implementation of timely review and inspection processes for Operations programs within the region. You will budget, allocate and manage funds to accomplish specific program goals and objectives for the Operations Program. You will plan, organize, direct and conduct Operations Directorate conferences, symposiums, workshops and meetings. You will maintain liaison with professional, municipal, special districts, state and federal agency representatives. You will make overall assignment of work to subordinate managers and when appropriate establish priorities and dates for completion. You will resolve complaints from subordinates, group grievance, and matters not resolved at the lower levels.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising on all matters of Air, Port, and Other Operational Support issues to include Force Protection (FP), Fire Protection and Emergency Services (F&EM), Emergency Management (EM), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Operational Training, Regional Operations Center (ROC), functions, Navy Occupational Safety & Health (NAVOSH), and Explosive Safety Program; 2) Developing and resourcing overall program training, exercises, policy, planning, programming, and monitoring budget execution for Shore Operations; 3) Reviewing policy directives from higher authority and evaluating them for changes required for regional Operations; 4) Developing and issuing guidance governing Operations programs, including guidance required in response to legislative changes; 5) Directing budget, procurement, accounting, and associated fiscal operations for Operation programs; 6) Conducting workshops, training, and network meetings as necessary on issues concerning Operations Directorate issues.
