About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), located at Fort Liberty, NC. This position performs pre award and/or post award functions for procurements involving complex, long-term contracts of highly specialized, extensive, new or innovative medical equipment/supplies, research,and services of significant importance to the agency
Duties
Responsible for a variety of medical contracting actions that include pre-award functions and post-award functions.
Performs pre-award and post-award functions on health care contracting, direct health care provider services, medical equipment and supplies, facility maintenance, and environmental services contracts.
Administers long-term complex contracts for procurements of innovative equipment systems.
Analyzes and evaluates cost and pricing data elements for major acquisitions with limited precedent data available.
Resolve contract administration issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, within 6 months of entry onto duty.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing pre-award & post-award functions for various contracting actions; analyzing and evaluating cost and pricing data elements for major acquisitions; and analyzing and researching problems to make appropriate resolution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).
