About the Position: The incumbent of this position serves as the Contract Management Support Officer (CMSO) in the Resource Management Directorate with the primary responsibilities to assist leadership with management of existing contract requirements and the development/identification of long-range acquisition requirements.

Duties

Gathers, analyzes, and acts on a variety of information pertaining to program operation; specifically cost, schedule and performance data. Provides advice to staff regarding contract management, financial management, obligation, and expenditures of funds Assists in cost or price analysis including review of cost breakdowns to determine price reasonableness. Ensures contractor compliance with applicable laws and regulations including applicable Cost Accounting Standards Serves as the U.S. Army Garrison Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible to perform and/or participate in all phases of the acquisition process Conducts Acquisition Review Boards (ARBs) Provide IMCOM leadership at all levels total visibility of service contract requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education cannot be substituted for experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting/ProcurementFinancial ManagementOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
