About the Position: The incumbent of this position serves as the Contract Management Support Officer (CMSO) in the Resource Management Directorate with the primary responsibilities to assist leadership with management of existing contract requirements and the development/identification of long-range acquisition requirements.
Duties
Gathers, analyzes, and acts on a variety of information pertaining to program operation; specifically cost, schedule and performance data.
Provides advice to staff regarding contract management, financial management, obligation, and expenditures of funds
Assists in cost or price analysis including review of cost breakdowns to determine price reasonableness.
Ensures contractor compliance with applicable laws and regulations including applicable Cost Accounting Standards
Serves as the U.S. Army Garrison Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible to perform and/or participate in all phases of the acquisition process
Conducts Acquisition Review Boards (ARBs)
Provide IMCOM leadership at all levels total visibility of service contract requirements
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or
removed from the position, accordingly.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge in preparing key acquisition documents to include Performance Work Statements (PWS), Request for Service Contract Approvals (RSCA), Acquisition strategies/plans and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.
