You will serve as a WATERFRONT SPECIALIST in the PORT OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL STATION.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.9% will be added to the stated salary.
Duties
You will be responsible for all pier maintenance coordination.
You will be responsible for spill prevention and recovery operations.
You will be responsible for assigning berthing space for all ships and service craft.
You will work under close direction of the supervisor or higher-graded employee who provides assignment requirements.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license to operate a forklift with capacity up to 15k
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting higher grade specialists in the coordination of docking/ undocking work, berthing support, and waterborne support vessel activities. 2) Communicating with maritime personnel to understand status of situations; 3) Assisting with determining the steps and procedures for ship berthing or ship movement. (NOTE: THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME.)
