You will serve as a Fuel Specialist at NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will update and utilize a daily maintenance schedule to orally brief Fuels front-line personnel on the day's planned maintenance activities and expectations.
You will serve as the facility maintenance gatekeeper to proactively collaborate, plan and manage the maintenance schedule.
You will interpret, review, inspect, identify and make recommendations to solve operational and repair problems of highly technical mechanical, electrical, and structural systems and equipment.
You will coordinate risk screenings and provide oversight of maintenance planning effectiveness while Incorporating resource leveling in the planning and scheduling process.
You will plan for corrective repairs, contribute to the analysis of equipment and malfunction information, and makes recommendations for potential corrective maintenance actions to avoid future breakdowns.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Fuel Specialist (Planner) specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; demonstrating the application of a thorough knowledge of Navy shore-based fuel terminal equipment and systems, fuel facilities maintenance and repair operations, and related support functions in order to conduct maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution. Experience must reflect applying a technical knowledge of fuel facility mechanical, electrical and control systems and subsystems sufficient to perform validation of maintenance and repair requirements, identify deficiency, perform detailed technical research and initiate service requests. Specialized experience must include: 1) Utilizing project management principles in order to plan complex facilities projects, establish objectives requirements, priorities, and deadlines; 2) Ensuring compliance to permitting, safety, environmental and federal and state regulations; 3) Applying a broad understanding of engineering principles to interpreting and comprehending technical manuals and engineering drawings; and 4) Demonstrating working knowledge of the Continuous Process Improvement deployment system including performing tasks such as the following: identify improvement opportunities, participate in improvement teams, utilize continuous improvement tools, develop and improve work processes through structured problem solving, and sustain improvement changes; and 5) Utilizing computer support software products for data entry, data analysis and to prepare reports as required.
