This position is part of the Office of Natural Resources Revenue, Deputy Director, Strategic Resource Management, Facility & Support Services, located in Lakewood, CO. NOTE: This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within Office of Natural Resources Revenue.

Duties

Develops and maintains an evaluation program to ensure that personal property management activities are being conducted in accordance with established policy and procedures. Conducts property management program reviews to ensure property is correctly identified, accounted for, utilized, and disposed of in accordance with property policy. Identifies excess property and proceeds to have it listed as excess in accordance with Federal Management Regulation (FMR) and Department policy and guidelines and recommends action to dispose of or replace the equipment as necessary. Reviews and approves a wide variety of property documents representing transactions to be entered into the property system of record and executes entries accurately. Oversees the annual personal property physical inventory for ONRR, and ensures joint inventories are executed between outgoing and incoming APOs and/or CPOs.

Qualifications

At the GS-12 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: experience in directing all aspects of personal property life-cycle management; utilize automated property management systems to track, maintain and verify personal property asset data for complete and accurate records; resolve problems relating to personal property inventory and accounting controls; interpret and advise management and employees on complex personal property management policies and practices; provides support in the administration of contracts. Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
