You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK) of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION N6.

Duties

You will assess vulnerabilities of network hardware, operating system software, and peripheral network equipment. You will serve as the principal Networking Services Architectural and Design point of contact. You will develop and execute detailed test plans. You will develop and provide compliance oversight for implementation of systems requirements, policies, guidelines, and practices.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code NETWORK OPERATIONS SPEC, proficiency level ADVANCED the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Designing, developing, and managing systems that meet current and future business requirements; 2) Applying knowledge of IT systems security principles, concepts, methods, and multiple IT systems disciplines with regards to integrating IT programs and services into the design and management of IT systems; 3) Reviewing system administration policies and requirements for updating; 4) Providing advice and instruction to employees on issues pertaining to systems and the administration of them. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
