You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) in the Curriculum Support Branch (N654) of NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as Technical Manager for the Programs of Record (PORs), working closely with the POR Program Managers (PMs) on establishing functional project priorities.
You will ensure stakeholder's (e.g., customers and end users) requirements are incorporated in the systems engineering of information systems.
You will monitor and ensure the security of information systems in an effective, inter-operable, scalable, reliable, integrated, compliant, affordable fashion and in accordance with security requirements for continuous monitoring and risk management.
You will establish and monitor schedules and milestones to ensure overall goal accomplishment in accordance with time, resources, cost and quality considerations.
You will counsel individual employees and review mission requirements to determine the basic developmental and training needs of employees.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area D802 level advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Representing customers in contract discussions; 2) Providing technical services in cost estimations, specifications and benchmarking; 3) Responding to customer requests for all computer-related difficulties, analyzing problems and recommending solutions; 4) Preparing annual operating budget, recommending new hardware, software and communication developments to enhance information system posture; 5) Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of work, and capabilities of employees.
