You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Physical Security Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST Security Department.
Duties
You will implement security programs under the general direction the Security Officer and
Senior Security Specialist.
You will be responsible for executing the Personnel Security (PERSEC) Information Security (INFOSEC) Physical Security (PHYSEC) Anti-Terrorism/ Force Protection (AT/FP), Operational Security (OPSEC) and Privacy Act (PA) programs.
You will assist with the formulation and presentation of an effective Security Education and Training curriculum; interprets and applies specific guidelines, regulations and policies.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying security concepts, principles and practices to administer a security program and resolve security issues. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Implementing security procedures for the protection of classified and sensitive unclassified information for an organization or assigned program; 2) Interpreting and applying agency guidelines, regulations, and policies; 3) Applying in-depth working knowledge of a variety of standard and state-of-the-art security equipment, systems, and devices to recommend appropriate protective methods and security procedures; and 4) Conducting physical security surveys and vulnerability assessments to identify deficiencies within the program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
You have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
You have successfully competed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
You have successful an LL.M. degree that is related to position being filled.
