YOU WILL SERVE AS A PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST IN THE CORPORATE OPERATIONS GROUP OF FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will serve as the Commanding Officer's advisor and direct representative in matters pertaining
to the Personnel Security (PERSEC) program.
You will conduct requests for personal security investigations to establish eligibility, establishes
need to know, enrolls employees into the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program and assigns
access.
You will review all associated documentation, fingerprints, and release data to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for investigation and/or CE submission.
You will serve as the point of receipt, control and authorization of all visitors' access letters or email
request from government agencies for Civilian, Military, Contractors, and vendors/sales personnel seeking access to FRCSW.
You will process System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) forms received for FRCSW employees for
all civilian, military, and contractor personnel, verifying clearance.
You will identify, analyze, evaluate and recommend solutions for a variety of different and unrelated security issues.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Must obtain and maintain all required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.
- Position requires lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying security concepts, principles and practices to administer a security program and resolve security issues. Examples of specialized experience include: 2)) Implement security procedures for the protection of classified and sensitive unclassified information for an organization or assigned program; 3) Serve as the direct point of contact with the DCSA CAS, Defense Office of Hearing and Appeals and the White House Liaison Office for all derogatory information related to violation if the 13 adjudication factors; 4) Interpret and apply National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manuals 5205.07, Naval Air Systems Command, Commander Fleet Readiness Centers and Fleet Readiness Center Southwest industrial Security policies and procedures; 5) Identify, analyze and evaluate complex Insider threat reports which represent a threat to National Security and a threat to the personnel, facilities, and assets at FRCSW.
