About the Position: Serves as an Operations Analyst on the G-3 Current Operations Team and is responsible for the oversight of a variety of actions which are characterized by unique requirements which demand continuous oversight and provides administrative coordination for staff actions and correspondence.
Duties
Conduct analyses of staff actions received from higher headquarters.
Monitor priority of actions based on the sensitivity of the subject matter, suspense dates and other pertinent data.
Initiate taskers, correspondence and reports based on knowledge of the programs and activities of the command.
Advise the Commanding General, the G-3 and senior leadership of all sensitive issues regarding senior leadership, and agencies outside the organization.
Implement the critical thinking process, problem solving and practical working knowledge of the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP).
Carry out high priority assignments, studies, and projects on a wide variety of sensitive and confidential matters.
Collect and display important information such as Commanders Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) and execution matrices.
Apply knowledge management processes to develop solutions and streamline processes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (Tier 3) security clearance.
- Incumbent may be required to travel up to 20% of the time.
- The incumbent must be able to work any shift. Job will require shift work with normal 8-hour shift; however, under crises or contingency operations, expanded work hours, seven-day work week, and extended duty days may be required.
- Stress is inherent in the nature of work, during periods of high operations tempo, there may be many short-suspended actions and high noise levels (ringing phones, many simultaneous conversations, etc.).
- Employee is required to complete TACOM Analytics Skill Level 1 through the online Army eLearning Skillport portal within one year of employment.
- Employee is required to complete FEMA Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Independent Study Courses within one year of employment.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience to include: (1) Utilizing Software applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Teams, Power BI, Visio, and One Note to complete daily tasks; (2) Creating presentations to effectively relay information through briefings; and (3) Continually assessing operations to develop solutions and streamline processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
