About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility & Security (DPTMS), Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall, Virginia.
Fort Myer is a 15 minute commute to/from the Arlington National Cemetery Metro Station, a 10-15 minute commute to/from the Rosslyn, Virginia Metro Station, and is accessible by bus transportation. The installation is approximately 7 miles from Washington D.C. and a short distance from major roadways and express highways.
Duties
Responsible for managing and directing operational programs for Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH).
Develops short and long-range plans to operationally accommodate future readiness, development and evolutionary support missions.
Develops or directs development and revision of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) standard operating procedures (SOP) as required.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates the activities of the Operations Branch, and provides technical and administrative guidance as required.
Reviews and evaluates office operations and directs changes to internal procedures.
Participates with the Installation Staff in mission accomplishment over the wide spectrum of operational responsibilities, which include organization, exercises, command and control, readiness...
...operational security, anti-terrorism, force protection and combating terrorism.
Executes operations and tasking requirements to include VIP support and coordination, special events/dedications, document reviews, briefing support and long and short-range calendars.
Requirements
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience that involves develop and recommend policy; managing and directing operational plans, develop short and long-range plans, ensures all personnel are trained on preparedness tools, initiate/coordinate command response to emergencies and incidents, and evaluate and recommend changes in methods of operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
