The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. About the Position: This position is located on Joint Base Fort Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH), Arlington, VA.

Duties

Review all aspects of operations and programs to ensure effectiveness. Review statistical data and analysis to make decisions concerning, such as directorate management, organizational structure, methods, processes, and procedures. Review operations and division budgets. Formulate plans for funding allocations. Supervise the administrative staff, functions and resources. Interview and select candidates, recommend hiring and promotion within Administrative section.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes, planning, program management, budgeting, financial management, contracting, cost/risk analysis, personnel management, labor/EEO management, and logistics planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementManaging Human ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
