About the Position: This position is located in Plans, Analysis and Integration (PAI), JBM-HH, Fort Myers, Virginia.
Duties
Plans, manages, and executes the strategic planning integration functions for the garrison.
Serves as advisor to the garrison command group and staff on the integration of near, mid, and long term programs and the installation strategic plan.
Incumbent is fully responsible for ensuring all garrison plans and programs are coordinated into an integrated and cohesive strategic plan.
Extensive effort is required to ensure facilities, training, equipment, and personnel are properly assessed to meet the long-term goals of the garrison.
Provides input for prioritization and allocation of resources to the Installation Planning Board and the Garrison Commander.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret security clearance.
- This position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting annual reviews of the installation strategic plan. Coordinating all strategic planning activities. Consolidating data generated by studies utilizing analysis methods/techniques. Serves as a lead over a team. Analyzing interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity affecting major operations of an agency to develop operational plans that improve productivity, effectiveness and efficiency within the command. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
