About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Plans Officer for Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.
Duties
Oversees the operation of various operating programs such as Installation Force Protection Program and Operations Security Programs.
Responsible for managing and directing the operations of the installation's Plans Programs.
Develops annual and multiyear calendars, incorporating all Garrison and tenant organization key events.
Serves as Branch Chief responsible for directing technical and administrative work in support of plans, operations and security operations.
Requirements
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status
- Position requires employee to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements
- This position is subject to a one year Supervisory probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) developing and monitoring plans and operations of future readiness, development and evolutionary support missions; 2) contingency operations planning and exercise execution; and 3) manages and provides instructions of functions for subordinate employees.
