You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICIAN) in the INTERFACE ENGINEERING AND ASSESSMENT DIVISION, MEASUREMENT SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will serve as the Infantry Weapons and Small Arms Technical Project Manager.
You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on small arms/infantry weapons gages for Navy and Marine Corps as well as Special Operations Command, Coast Guard, Department of Energy security forces, Army Foreign Weapons, and other small arms customers.
You will be responsible for the inspection, certification and/or calibration of these gages working with the Navy Gage Laboratory Section Lead.
You will evaluate new weapons designs and deployments with proper gaging to ensure safe operation and reliability of infantry weapons/small arms.
You will perform research, develop, and document specialized inspection and test techniques.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the NT-05 pay band: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing small arms and infantry weapon gage engineering project requirements to evaluate designs, review inventory control systems, develop budget requirements, and monitor financial resources for a warfare program.
For the NT-04 pay band: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing engineering requirements to perform small arms and infantry weapon gage operations and resolve technical issues for a warfare program.
