You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) in the Bureau of Navy Personnel Command of TSC PENSACOLA.
Duties
You will Diagnose an organization's failed data management system.
You will document results of a performance assessment to advise on findings.
You will analyze network information to measure performance and system utilization.
You will partner with system administrators to minimize system downtime.
You will gather information technology (IT) supporting plans, designs, programming and engineering documentation for an IT program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Training and certifications must be maintained in accordance with requirements after initial completion.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Customer Service and Technical Support (DCWF Work Role Code 411).
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You may be recalled to duty as necessary.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining IT inventory to ensure accountability of assets; 2) Writing and following standard operating procedures; 3) Managing a queue of customer support tickets and fulfilling support request; and 4) Investigating IT issues to resolve system problems. Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary, however some work may require walking, lifting, carrying, reaching and standing. May be required to travel in order to attend meetings, and conferences away from the local area. The position requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle.
Work Environment: The majority of the work is performed in a typical office setting. The work environment includes everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Special safety precautions, when required will be briefed by the supervisor. Any applicable safety equipment over and above normal office attire will be provided.
Education
Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. You must provide your transcripts.
