Duties
As a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist, you will:
Serve as the main agency contact point for the implementation of the Federal Management Regulations for personal property.
Manage and oversee Departmental personal property inventory programs.
Plan and conduct management studies and analyses of Departmental property inventory operations, process, and programs.
Direct all activities involving the administration of bank card purchase, Blanket Purchase Agreements and contracts for various personal property functions, including office equipment maintenance and repair, conventional furniture and case goods purchase, furniture repairs and reconfiguration, and carpet purchase and installation.
Develop Departmental budget estimates for furniture and equipment needs based upon historical data, knowledge of property requirements and equipment capabilities.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Coordinating procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of assets; AND
Writing inventory reports and maintaining logistical records; AND
Implementing inventory management policies and procedures; AND
Maintaining inventory management systems
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
