This position is in the Facilities and Property Branch, Division of Administration.
The Inventory Management Specialist operates under the general supervision of the Chief, Facilities and Property Branch, and assists in implementing the property management program for the National Labor Relations Board.

As a Inventory Management Specialist GS-2010-13, your typical work assignments may include:
Receiving, handling, and conducting follow-up on all equipment service requests, and maintaining repair data to determine equipment needs for Headquarters;
Preparing inventory adjustment reports and coordinating the reconciliation of physical records with the General Ledger;
Reviewing trends and problems presented by various Agency officials to anticipate problems and take appropriate action to mitigate effects.

IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT
The ideal candidate for the Inventory Management Specialist position should be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should also have a working knowledge of an automated database and/or spreadsheet software system(s).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be qualified for this position at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of an Inventory Management Specialist at the GS-13.
Specialized experience includes:
Conducting physical inventory of personal property using an automated inventory management system;
Coordinating the reassignment, repair, rehabilitation, excess and/or replacement of items within an office; and
Implementing regulations, directives, supply policies and procedures to provide logistical management support for an organization.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT
Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year of experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service is required to qualify for the GS-13 grade level.

All current federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive). As a current NLRB career or career conditional employee in the Competitive Service, you may determine your current status by checking block 24 on your SF-50. Block 24 must reflect "1" or "2". Also, block 34 must reflect "1". A copy of your SF-50 must be provided for verification.
