About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6UWAA OPERATION ENVIRONMENT CENTER.
Duties
Serves as a supervisory intelligence specialist, carries out the primary duties of supervisor and senior advisor and consultant to the Operational Environment Integration (OEI) Director.
Responsible for describing the Operational Environment and threat activities within the G2 to the senior leadership.
Represents the Directorate at Ft Leavenworth and at all meetings and conferences as required.
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, controlling, evaluating, and special intelligence project management.
Addressing the various operational matters across the G2 Analysis and Control Element (ACE).
Defines and negotiates plans, programs, policies, and various operational issues that are critical to mission accomplishment with elements of G2 and TRADOC and CAC Staff.
As a first-line supervisor, assigns, reviews and evaluates work of any subordinates and monitors accomplishments.
Establishes clear performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement and align with mission objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel will be required up to 20% of the time.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

1. Experience in developing and managing intelligence-related programs, including planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of Operational Environment Integration (OEI) activities. AND
2. Experience in developing and managing Operational Environment programs, including assessing mission requirements and refining operational activities to adapt changing intelligence and environmental conditions. AND
3. Experience evaluating and improving intelligence processes, such as information sharing, resource allocation, and tasks coordination, to enhance operational efficiency and support critical mission objectives.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
