You will serve as a KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT OFFICER in the Maritime Information Warfare Directorate of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Duties
You will develop and promote a working understanding of resident knowledge, gaps in knowledge, and management of knowledge.
You will develop Knowledge Management (KM) practices that support operation to tactical data exchange in denied or degraded communication environments.
You will provide subject matter expertise and guidance in determining ideal KM solutions supporting Command and Control doctrine.
You will evaluate the execution of directives by ensuring the appropriate and timely dissemination of the Commander’s strategic guidance, critical information requirements, daily messages and orders.
You will coordinate with internal and external organizations to leverage best practices for operational process analysis and KM system implementation.
You will manage KM systems to include assignment of content ownership, training of content owners, managing identities and accounts, and ongoing collaborative information environment.
You will enable IN training of core staff and develop or acquire Computer Based Training (CBT) and classroom training courses.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 431, proficiency level (ADVANCED) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing the effectiveness of information sharing processes (e.g., knowledge or change management, organizational learning skills) and assessing the readiness of knowledge sharing (i.e., the alignment of people and processes enabled by technology) to develop and facilitate strategic organizational process improvement initiatives.
