You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Maritime Branch, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Maritime Division of Naval Supply Systems (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support (WSS).
Duties
You will provide life-cycle logistics management support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Maritime ships, platforms, and weapon systems for assigned FMS countries.
You will utilize Navy systems and databases to research, provide logistics status updates, and respond to customer requests.
You will prepare reports, analyze data for accuracy, and resolve outstanding issues and problems.
You will create and maintain requisitions, purchase requests, and shipment information.
You will attend progress and status meetings as a representative of the FMS Program.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position requires DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification SC421 within prescribed timelines.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-11 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying comprehensive supply and logistics knowledge to initiate and manage requisitions, procurement actions, contracts, purchase requests, and shipments. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) management principles, concepts, policies, and methodologies to a variety of difficult and complex projects, some of which are unique to foreign customers; 2) Ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met within prescribed timelines; 3) Utilizing Navy information systems and databases to research, track, and record logistics information such as stock availability, technical information, requisition status, and delivery information; and 4) Establishing short and long-term goals, objectives, and operational plans, to monitor and control execution, and to measure performance.
For the GS-09 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing logistics management support, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical tasks needed to support a mission or program. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Identifying the manpower, funds, materials, facilities, or services needed to provide program support; 2) Coordinating, developing, and adjusting plans to provide program support; 3) Using integrated systems to manage inventory, budgetary planning, and data maintenance; and 4) Creating written reports and presentations to support program goals and needs.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
