You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Naval Sustainment System Supply (NSS-Supply) Division of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.
Duties
You will be responsible to improve the continuity of logistics support decisions and actions throughout the lifecycle of equipment or systems under study, from the initial weapon system planning stages to the ultimate disposal of the material.
You will provide long-term leadership and management continuity and expertise to the organization.
You will defend determinations and recommendation (which may at time be controversial) related to programmatic logistics issues.
You will provide guidance and oversight as the department engages in all relevant Navy and Joint supply chain and logistics forums.
You will advise senior leaders on logistics, sustainment, and supply support matters, including preparing briefs, point papers and other written and verbally delivered material.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector overseeing and coordinating the efforts of a supply team to achieve a comprehensive, coordinated, integrated, and executable End to End supply chain management strategy by resolving challenging and technically complex supply chain and supply support problems. Experience also includes detailed knowledge in logistics readiness, logistics support, logistics strategic planning, and logistics troubleshooting, as well as supply provisioning, requirements determination, material budgeting and forecasting, supply chain management, commercial and organic repair, cannibalization, stock in transit, carcass tracking, allowancing, transaction item reporting, warehousing, and disposal. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Directing and overseeing logistics management operations to include planning, coordinating, and evaluating processes related to maritime industrial support, aviation logistics and technical support; 2) Conducts analyses/assessments and takes action to improve the ILS posture of equipment/platforms; 3) Supervises others in analyzing supply/logistics support problems and developing alternative solutions to long-term issues; 4) Improves logistics supply chain processes, programs, and policies by researching current supply issues and providing recommendations to senior leadership; 5) Communicating effectively and efficiently to defend decisions, elicit cooperation from others, and provide status reports to senior leadership; and 6) Provides leadership for logistics management staff to include assigning and reviewing work, setting priorities, and communicating technical and administrative guidance.
