You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will oversee and manage the division to ensure all logistics readiness requirements and policies are abided by. You will lead the division to determine the range and quantity of items (i.e., spares and repair parts, special tools, and test and support equipment) required to support and maintain an item for an initial period of service. You will direct and monitor broad, encompassing, analytical efforts upon which logistics services program policy, procedural and system determinations are defined. You will analyze the potential impact of governmental policy issuances and initiatives, court decisions, business trends and developing strategies to address. You will develop the annual strategic plan for the department and assures its implementation by monitoring the performance of its component Branches.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in directing, coordinating, or overseeing logistical processes and the work of employees, team lead(s) and supervisor(s) in a weapons systems command setting; 2) Possess the ability to provide solutions and make decisions on work and personnel challenges and WSS business related scenarios; 3) Experience in implementing technical and provisioning policies and procedures; 4) Attend and lead meetings regarding planning, priorities, and policies.
