You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Submarines and Maritime Industrial Operations Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties
You will direct the work of multiple divisions whose individual missions and functions are designed to optimize operational readiness and life cycle affordability.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all functions within the department are executed efficiently and effectively.
You will create, monitor, and disseminate various supply lists, reports, directives, and inventory documents.
You will ensure that all program funding and resources are appropriately executed within prescribed timelines.
You will represent the department at conferences and meetings and deliver presentations as needed.
You will provide material and workload status reports to senior leadership, NAVSUP Headquarters, and other stakeholders.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is considered a "Key" position and as such incumbent may be required to be removed from their military recall status. A signed statement of understanding required.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying expert knowledge of logistics and supply system policies, principles, and procedures in support of Department of the Navy (DON) weapons systems operations. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Utilizing executive/management techniques involving information gathering and analysis to develop short and long-term logistics program plans; 2) Preparing operational budget estimates, resource requirements, and justification data for assigned program; 3) Providing life cycle logistics support, including planning, acquisition policy, supportability analysis, and program management; 4) Analyzing, interpreting, and implementing organizational directives and policies; and 5) Providing administrative and technical direction for a large team/work force.
