You will serve as a EDUCATION AND TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the Training Support Department (TSD) of the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center (NAVSAFENVTRACEN) located in Norfolk, VA
Duties
You will perform tasks associated with the Joint Safety and Environmental Professional Development Symposium.
You will serve as NAVSAFENVTRACEN student control officer, administrative assistant and audio visual coordinator.
You will develop course rosters for the NAVSAFENVTRACEN Training Departments.
You will troubleshoot quota request problems and assist instructors in obtaining student rosters using the Enterprise Navy Training Reservation System.
You will receive course convening data (drop/fail records, walk-ins and no-shows) from course mangers and add information to Chronological Training Schedule.
You will release course schedules and quotas according to command policy.
You will perform normal administrative tasks associated with this position, e.g. emails, filing, attending meetings and conferences.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1.) Providing administrative support for special events such as; the Joint Safety and Environmental Professional Development Symposium (e.g., meetings, conferences, virtual meeting setup, agendas, maintaining presentation files); 2.) Preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents; maintaining office records; locating and compiling data or information from files; compiling information for reports; keeping a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates; as well as similar clerical support work within an organization; 3.) Working knowledge and skills in order to use job-relevant information systems and/or software applications independently such as; CETARS, CANTRAC, eNTRS, word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet; 4.) Assisting with curriculum management by assisting all training departments with the command shared drive; and 5.) Releasing course schedules and quotas.
